Circa 1820 English Regency period mahogany British campaign chest or box on stand; the removable chest having hinged top revealing locking upper storage compartment above two internally locking lower drawers with divided compartments; the exterior with ebony lozenge form key escutcheon and drawers and sides with original brass recessed finger pulls; the stand with single locking drawer and original brass knob on turned legs with original brass casters. Dimensions given are total. Chest alone measures 16" wide by 12" deep and 6" high. Stand alone is 17.25" high. A rarely seen piece useful and chic as a low table beside a chair or sofa.
