Hispano-Moresque Charger, c. 1550
Early Spanish Hispano-Moresque copper lustre pottery charger having unique paneled and foliate pattern. Circa 1550, and most likely of Manises production. Condition is considered good as pictured having typical glaze wear in the bowl and foot-ring along with a reverse rim chip. This piece is in completely unrestored condition exhibiting original wear and patina and is structurally sound, having never been broken or repaired; rare for items of this age.
Good. Interior bowl wear, underside rim chip, lustre mellowing.
