A fine early 19th century George III English Regency period dresser tabletop toiletry box or necessaire having blonde tortoiseshell-clad satinwood case; the top with raised plinth-form tablet inset with Sheffield silver-plated blank initials plaque, the tapering bow-shaped sides connecting to Sheffield silver-plated scroll-winged lion's paw feet at each corner; the interior with original silk fitted case complete with cut crystal jars, box, and vial with original engine-turned Sheffield silver-plated lids, carved mother-of-pearl anthemion handled manicure tools, and pearl-knob compartments.
